Dear 6GC Parents, Guardians, and Students,
I hope you’re having a relaxing and fun-filled summer! We are excited to welcome you to the 6th Grade Center for our Summer Orientation on Tuesday, August 18th, from 6:00–8:00 PM.
To help prepare for the upcoming school year, we have included important information and resources for families to review:
Medical and dental forms can be downloaded here.
PowerSchool Information (to access student grades and academic progress) will be sent out prior to orientation.
SafeArrival Information (for reporting student absences)
Canvas Observer Information (to connect with teachers and monitor assignments)
During our orientation presentation, families will receive information regarding:
Teacher and team assignments
Student schedules
Student Handbook & School expectations
Following our presentation, National Junior Honor Society students and staff members will be available to answer questions and provide assistance as families and students explore the building, locate classrooms, practice opening lockers, and become familiar with the school.
If you are unable to attend the scheduled orientation, self-guided tours will also be available from 12:00–3:00 PM on August 13th and August 24th. Please email Ms. Finkle (afinkle@qcsd.org) to set up a day and time to come into the building.
In addition, we are asking all students who are interested in joining Student Council to apply now. Please see the attached letter (in spanish) from our Student Council advisors. Applications are due August 10th.
