The goal? To raise awareness of the importance of music education and highlight that QCSD students have access to valuable music programs.
Last week’s “Wear It Wednesday” at the Sixth Grade Center featured Rock & Roll vs. Country! This Wednesday (3/18), students and staff are encouraged to wear tie-dye as we celebrate music across all cultures and generations.
Happy Music in Our Schools Month SGC!

There is no school on Friday, March 13th, for QCSD students for a Professional Development Day for staff.
Have a great weekend, Panthers!

Thank you to Sixth Grade Center student Oliver for sharing his book recommendation, "How to Train Your Dragon,” by Cressida Cowell.
Oliver started his recommendation with a warning: “Read the book before you watch the movie!” Oliver not only recommended the first book but also the entire 13-book series. His love of reading and fantasy is why this book series is the perfect fit for him. “My favorite part is at the end where there’s a fight between the dragons and the Vikings.”
If you like adventure, this book series is for you! Thank you, Oliver, for sharing “How to Train Your Dragon” with us, and Happy Read Across America Week!

Happy Read Across America Week!
Thank you to Sixth Grade Center student Bella for sharing her book recommendation, "Tuck Everlasting,” by Natalie Babbitt.
“The story is about a girl named Winnie, who is kept indoors but yearns for adventure. She meets the Tuck family and decides to stay with them, but then Winnie’s family thinks they took her. They want Winnie to attend a boarding school, and the Tuck family is in danger of having their secret revealed; they are immortal.” When asked what her favorite part of the story was, Bella replied, “In the beginning, when Winnie runs away.”
Thank you, Bella, for sharing a part of “Tuck Everlasting” with us, and Happy Read Across America Week!
Thank you to Sixth Grade Center student, Zoey, for sharing his book recommendation, "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane,” by Kate DiCamillo.
The book follows the adventures of a china doll rabbit, named Edward Tulane, who gets lost on a cruise and how he makes his way back to his family. When asked what her favorite part of the story, Zoey replied, "I really liked how the story was a journey of learning and loving your life. Specifically, the part where Edward meets a hobo and they talk around a campfire.”
Thank you, Zoey, for sharing this amazing story with us!
Happy Read Across America Week, Sixth Grade Center!
